Bawumia Makes Grand Entry To Fetu Afahye Durbar In Cape Coast | Politics


Cape Coast was on Saturday set ablaze as high-profile dignitaries graced the grand durbar which climaxed the 60th anniversary of the Fetu Afahye festival and 25th anniversary of Osabarima Dr. Nana Kwesi Arthur II as Oguaamanhene.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was the Special Guest of Honour and characteristic of him, made a majestic entry to the durbar grounds on his palanquin with his paramount Chief and Queen mothers.

Arousing the audience to excitement was Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who made his way to the memorable event.

Dr. Bawumia was accompanied by by his Running Mate, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, a powerful government and party delegation while he exchanged pleasantries with the Chiefs and gathering.

Scores of supporters hoisting NPP flags and displaying the party’s paraphernalia flanked him chanting his name to mark his victory in the upcoming presidential elections.
