You Are Honest And I Believe You Can Do The Work Bawumia Has Given You – Okuapehene To NAPO | Politics
Okuapehene, Oseadeayo Kwasi Akuffo III has expressed confidence in Vice Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, saying he knows him to be honest and believes he can do the work assigned to him by the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia.
“I have known you to be a very honest man and so for me, I have no doubt that you will execute the task Bawumia has given you seamlessly”, he said.
Oseadeayo continued; “The NPP has been exceptional in government and I believe that your performance at the Education and Energy Ministries have contributed significantly to this cause. I know you can do more in a higher capacity and so we continue to pray for you.”
Oseadeayo made these remarks when Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh called on him in Akropong on Thursday, 25th July, 2024.
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, on his part, reiterated the need for enhanced cordial relations among Ghanaian ethnic groups.
According to him, this forms the foundation for progress and development in the country.
“The UP tradition, front-runner for the present day New Patriotic Party, was not the endeavor of a single ethnic group but a collective effort of Ghanaians from various backgrounds and so we are always reminded of the foundational principles of inclusivity and unity”, he said.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh also underscored the flagbearer’s track record in spearheading initiatives such as digitization, economic reforms and infrastructure development which he believes are crucial for the country’s growth.
Dr. Prempeh later appealed to Okuapeman to vote massively for the NPP and also canvassed for the parliamentary candidates of Akuapem North, Akuapem South and Okere.
This move by the NPP Running Mate signals the party’s approach in mobilizing support from traditional authorities ahead of the 2024 elections.
Throughout Ghana’s political history, the role of traditional leaders in influencing voter sentiments has remained pivotal in shaping the nation’s electoral landscape.
