Guiness World Record Disqualifies Afua Asantewaa’s Sing-A-Thon Attempt | General Entertainment
The Guinness Book of Records has officially disqualified Afua Asantewaa Aduonnum after reviewing her attempt to break the longest singing marathon.
Afua Asantewaa embarked on a five-day singing marathon, commencing at midnight on Sunday, December 24, and concluding at 7:00 am on December 29, 2024.
By the time she wrapped up her record attempt on Friday morning, Afua had sung continuously for five days, six hours, and 55 minutes.
But after months of speculation and sitting on tenterhooks, GWR says Afua’s attempt was not successful.
“We wish Afua the best of luck with any future record attempts,” the GWR noted in a tweet on February 23.
