Election 2024: Let’s Focus On Protecting Free SHS – Irene Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu Charges Women | Politics

Mrs. Irene Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Executive Chairperson of the Sompahemaa Foundation, a private philanthropic organization and Wife of Suame MP, has called on all industrious and forward-looking women to consider supporting Dr. Bawumia’s 2024 Campaign.

She noted that the campaign is the greatest sacrifice ever made to secure a better future for the girl-child.

She made the call in the Ashanti Region, where she joined the Second Lady of the Republic, Hajia Samira Bawumia, on a tour of the region

Hajia Samira has been in the Ashanti Region to propagate the compelling message of her affable husband, the Vice President and the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party for the 2024 general elections.

Mrs. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu affirmed that education is undoubtedly the bedrock of all development. She explained that ‘For the country to reverse the dwindling fortunes of the vulnerable in society, most of whom are women and children, there is an urgent need for governments to develop policies and programmes that propel women towards sustainable job opportunities as contained in the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 8.

Mrs Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has a strong conviction that the current NPP-led administration has provided an unmatched infrastructural development in many sectors of the ghanaian economy which, if sustained, would form the foundation upon which sustainable growth could be leveraged by all.

She is a trained teacher, nurse, and philanthropist whose passion to restore hope to the vulnerable has been ignited by the sheer number of people seeking support from her husband, Hon.Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, on daily basis.  She opined that the desire to assist as many people to scale up on the financial ladder must speak to the consciences of  Ghanaian women to vote for Dr. Bawumia and  the NPP to safeguard the free education policy

She appealed to all women to contribute their “widow’s mite” in various forms, and hence leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Mrs. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu concluded that “Education indeed can provide the bigger basket from which every individual would tap for success”  as aptly stated by Dr. Bawumia in his vision statement and  Manifesto.
