Chief Praises Napo Over Free SHS | Politics
Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has been highly praised for successfully implementing the free Senior High School (SHS) policy as Education Minister
Nana Osei Yaw Dwomoh, Nifahene of Noberkaw, in the Asunafo South Constituency, said he was thrilled by the boldness of Dr. Prempeh in rolling out the policy.
“Your NPP government had been in political office for some few months, and as the Education Minister, you were tasked to implement the free SHS programme then.
“Some people had doubts as to whether you could do it, but you displayed boldness and competence by working assiduously to successfully implement the social intervention policy.
“Because of this policy, I can beat my chest and say that there’s a graduate in every household in the country, including Norbekaw now”, Nana Dwomoh openly stated.
The traditional leader, who was beaming, also said Dr. Prempeh, aka ‘Napo’ has printed his name in the letters of gold with the implementation of the free SHS policy.
Nana Dwomoh was speaking at a mammoth durbar, which was organized to welcome Napo, who is the NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, to their area on Tuesday.
According to him, the President Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has performed to the admiration of the citizenry, so they deserved to be praised for a good job done.
He said chiefs are not permitted to indulge in partisan politics, but as a citizen, he has the right to give praise where it’s due, saying “The NPP has indeed done well”.
“This NPP government has improved infrastructure in schools, provided laptops for teachers, distributed tablets to students and also introduced STEM Education”.
Nana Dwomoh also said Asunafo South has benefited from the Agenda 111 hospital project and “we are eternally grateful and appreciative for this marvelous work by the NPP”.
