NDC Choosing You Is A Sign Women Would Have Voice In Governance – Queenmother of Bunkurugu To Prof Jane Naana | Politics
The Queenmother of Bunkurugu paramouncy, Poobat Patience Suguruman Dopaak has observed that the choosing of Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang as the NDC Running Mate is an indication of NDC’s regard for women.
Speaking at the Palace of the Paramount Chief of Bunkurugu Tradition area when Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang paid a courtesy call, the Queenmother noted there are many political parties which do not want a woman in their frontline, yet the NDC chose a woman, adding even in social gatherings, most people do not want women to speak.
She stressed the choosing of Prof Opoku-Agyemang as a running mate shows women would have a say in the governance of the country.
Addressing a rally at Bunkurugu in the North East Region, Prof Jane Naana said NDC is the party that care for everyone.
According to her, NDC and John Mahama is the type who would not deprived people of development on the ground that they didn’t vote for the party, adding that the NDC is sensitive to the needs of everyone.
The NDC’s running mate urged the women to vote for the NDC party whose flagbearer respect women.
On his part at the rally, the former National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo stated that the flagbearer of NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is a rhetoric and verbose politician.
According to him, Dr Bawumia is good at verbal excellence but performs badly in practical terms.
Mr Ofosu Ampofo also wonder why every street in the President’s hometown is asphalted yet there is no single asphalt road in the whole of Dr Bawumia’s home region.
