I Don’t See The Head And Tail Of UTAG Strike – Prof Smart Sarpong | Politics
On October 10, 2024, the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) declared a strike to demand a nationwide ban on mining and prospecting in ecologically sensitive areas such as forest reserves, farms, and water bodies.
“I’ll plead with UTAG; The Universities are solution centres and so what is our contribution to curbing the menace (galamsey). Will this (strike) be our best solution? …Infact most of the universities are at home so I don’t see the head and tail of this strike” he indicated
