Govt Releases GH¢50m To WAEC For BECE, WASSCE | Education
The government has released GH¢50 million to the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to cater for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
“This disbursement reaffirms the Government’s commitment to fulfilling its financial obligations to WAEC, ensuring that the Council’s operations continue without interruption,” according to a press release dated August 29 and signed by the Spokesperson of the Education Ministry, Kwasi Kwarteng.
“We wish to reassure all stakeholders, especially students, parents, guardians, and the general public, of our dedication to sustaining an environment that fosters seamless, efficient, and high-quality education for all Ghanaian students,” the statement added.
