A Vote For Mahama Is A Vote For ‘Second-hand President’ With No Positive Vision – Bawumia | Politics
The Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has questioned the effectiveness of the policies of former President John Mahama.
Addressing thousands of young people in Akyem Asafo in the Abuakwa South Constituency of the Eastern Region, Dr. Bawumia said Mahama, despite being President before and having been booted out of office, the former President has still not shown clear vision for the country.
“As I have been saying, I have never been President before. But my opponent has been President before.”
“The good people of Ghana gave him the opportunity but he performed poorly and he became the only President to be voted out of office for poor performance. He came again and he was rejected again.”
“He has still not showed clear vision for the youth and the country. I have not been President before and I have outlined my new vision and bold solutions for Ghana, which includes a clear vision for the youth in many areas including education, TVET, ICT training and many more”, Dr. Bawumia said.
Having made a clear distinction between his policies and that of Mahama, Bawumia proceeded to ask the crowd “is it nkoko nketenketen (rearing of small-scale chicks)? Is it rearing of guinea fowls? Is it 24 hour disco and night clubs?” and they responded with an emphatic “no”.
He stressed; “A vote for John Mahama is a vote for a second-hand President with no clear vision for the youth and for Ghana…and a vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a vote for a brand-new, tear-rubber President with a new vision for the youth and Ghana.”
