A Letter To Cynthia Morrison: You Are Being Ungrateful To Akufo-addo And Bawumia | Features
Dear Cynthia Morrison!
You are a personification of ingratitude. The NPP as well as your constituents do not deserve this level of ungratefulness from you.
You have announced your decision to go independent in the parliamentary elections. Your reasons for this decision are untenable.
You have been given an opportunity by the party to represent your people for 8 years, you, therefore have no justification whatsoever to stab this party in the back like this.
It is not as though someone else prepared the album which was used for your primaries. In fact, you yourself prepared the album and the same people voted against you.
It should rather tell you that you didn’t live up to expectations in their eyes, the reason they elected someone else as candidate.
For a sitting MP who remote-controlled the preparation of the album and out of the 5 contestants who went for the primaries and you came last, it tells me that the people had good reasons to replace you.
Akufo-Addo made you the Gender Minister. Do you believe he deserves this treacherous behaviour from you? You are just cutting off your nose to spite your face.
You asked your people to send you to serve them. In their eyes, 8 years is good enough for them. Why do you want to force yourself on them?
You were actually telling the people to vote for you but vote for any presidential candidate of their choice? It is as if the NPP did not do anything for you.
Who knew you beyond the shores of your constituency or region but for the opportunity your party gave to you? Today, you are seeking to stab the same party in the back because you lost in your bid to represent your constituents again. That’s bad faith!
You are an epitome of a fair weather friend. You are not a team player. This self-serving attitude will not help you.
The one they have voted for is also a member of the party. If someone didn’t lose in the primaries, would you have come to represent them?
You are bent on making sure that the party loses in the main elections. You will not succeed. You can’t fight the NPP, get that into your head. You are what you are today because of the opportunity this same party gave to you.
A whole former Minister of Gender, and you are behaving like this? How about those who have not had even 10% of the opportunities this party has given to you? Akufo-Addo and Bawumia deserve better than this perfidious attitude of yours. You are disappointing, putting it mildly!
