Akufo-Addo-Bawumia Govt. Worst In 4th Republic – Haruna Iddrisu | Politics

Haruna Iddrisu, Member of Parliament for Tamale South and former Minority Leader, has described the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration as the worst in the Fourth Republic, citing economic hardship stemming from poor performance and mismanagement.

Speaking at the campaign launch of the Member of Parliament for Asawase in the Ashanti region, he vowed that the NDC will work to expose any ill and fraudulent acts of the New Patriotic Party, especially in the Ashanti region.

He emphasised the need to police the ballots in the December polls to prevent rigging.

Mr. Iddrisu expressed optimism that the Ashanti region would vote massively for the NDC in the upcoming elections, given the NPP’s poor performance in the region.

He noted that the NDC needs just a little above 35% of the votes in the Ashanti region to win power.

He praised Muntaka Mohammed, the NDC’s candidate for the Asawase constituency, as a formidable representative who would continue to serve the people of Ghana and the Muslim Ummah well in Parliament.

Mr. Iddrisu urged Ghanaians to give President John Dramani Mahama another four years to add to his previous four years, promising that he would deliver for the Ghanaian people.

He reiterated that the NPP is the worst government in the history of the Fourth Republic.

“You saw the crowd this morning and we are seeing the crowd here. I hear the NPP saying that Ashanti is for NPP. Ashanti is only for NPP if they are performing. And Ashanti is only for NPP if businesses are good. Ashanti is only for NPP if unemployment was low. And therefore, we are optimistic that Asanteman will support John Dramani Mahama and support NDC to win.”

“We need just a little above 35% in Ashanti region and we declare John Dramani Mahama the winner of the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. That is our aspiration, and we must work towards that. Hon. Muntaka Mohammed is your formidable representative in Parliament.

“He will continue to do good to the people of Ghana and he will continue to serve the Muslim Ummah better in Parliament. He has done it before, and he will continue to do it.”
