2024 Elections: ‘Ghanaians Are Fed Up with Mahama’ – Dr. Adomako Kissi Tells NDC Sympathisers | Politics

Dr. Dickson Adomako Kissi, Member of Parliament for Anyah-Sowutuom, has stated that Ghanaians are fed up with the Presidential Candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), hence, do not envisage his comeback.

In his submission on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ Morning Show on Monday, June 10, Dr. Adomako opined that, the NDC could have presented a more formidable candidate; someone with a good standing other than the former President, John Dramani Mahama.

According to the Anyah-Sowutuom lawmaker, the former President has been tried and tested on two occasions and was woefully rejected by the Ghanaian electorates.

He said, “This election will not be easy for any of us but we are hoping that, when things turn around for us, it will be favourbale for the NPP. The unfortunate thing for the NDC, as I have always posited, is that, Mahama has been tried and tested and denied twice. The NDC should have realized this and brought another candidate. That is the only thing I think is waning the NDC of their votes.”

“Asiedu Nketia is trying so hard but he should know that, the candidate you present makes a huge difference. May be its too late to change a candidate but that is another important factor in the chain of events. Ghanaians are fed up with Mahama.”

Commenting on the upcoming December 2024 elections, Dr. Adomako Kissi pointed out that, with the recent happenings within the political space in India, it is one thing that no politician should be oblivious about, especially the party in power.

Indians beleaguered democracy was pulled back from the brink, with Narendra Modi losing his majority for the very first time in ten years, giving way for the opposition party to re-emerge as a force to reckon with.

Dr. Adomako stated that, Indians experience should give the governing NPP cue to be measured in their optimism.

“We are excited but with Indians experience, I am a bit careful in my optimism”.

He further stated that, the NDC has no campaign message while the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is doing all he can to make his life-changing vision statements known to all Ghanaians and the international communities.
