Madina Market Fire Outbreak: Bawumia Donates Ghc 200000 To Victims | General News
Market women in Madina Central Market in Accra, gave Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia a rousing reception Friday morning during his commiserating tour of the Region.
The market was ravaged by fire last week with some traders losing properties worth millions of cedis.
Following discussions with leadership of the traders with government during the week, the Vice President visited the market to interact with the victims.
Addressing them, Dr. Bawumia expressed his sympathies to the affected ones and assured them of his support to restore them to business.
Dr. Bawumia also announced plans to construct a three-storey 120-store facility to replace the burnt market.
The NPP flagbearer donated 200,000 cedis to the victims and the CEO of National Enterprises Agency also pledged to support them likewise.
