Professor Joseph Osafo has lauded the proposed selection of the former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Dan Botwe, to head the campaign team of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The former General Secretary and former Minister of Local Government, according to information, is going to play a principal role as the campaign manager, joining hands with other leading members of the party to ensure Dr. Bawumia’s vision materializes.

The other names that have popped up as members of the team include Frederick Opare-Ansah, Kwabena Agyepong, Nana Akomea, Osei Bonsu Amoah, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Adomako Baafi and Akbar Khomeini.

Speaking on Peace FM’s morning show “Kokrokoo”, Prof. Osafo reposed confidence in Dan Botwe to do a good job for the Vice President.

He touted Dan Botwe as a great, effective, and experienced leader, believing Dr. Bawumia should rest assured that the manager will fully deliver on his task.

“I think it’s a good choice. When it comes to the NPP political terrain, you would notice that Dan Botwe is one of the finest persons…He is bringing  experience,” Prof. Joseph Osafo stated.

He admonished the team not to be emotional in executing their duties, especially in their counter-arguments with the opposition.
