The Member of Parliament for Bantama constituency and Minister for Works and Housing, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye on Wednesday January 24, 2024 commissioned a new police station at Ohwim-Akusu-Amanfrom in his constituency.
This new police station is the 3rd commissioned by Mr. Asenso-Boakye in his three years as the MP for Bantama.

Acting Ashanti Regional Police Commander, ACP Frank Abrokwa in his remarks asked thanked Hon. Asenso-Boakye for his continuous support for the Police in the region. He urged the Bantama MP to continue his good work for security agencies.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye stated that since security has become one of the major threats in his constituency, he has decided to prioritize it.
Mr. Asenso-Boakye also revealed that, after assuming office in 2021, he has commissioned two police stations with one Police District Headquarters in the Bantama constituency
“In the last three years I have built two police stations and one district headquarters in the Constituency.
Urban development gives rise to crime. So in Bantama. After becoming the MP, I prioritized security so that we can do our best to ensure the safety of our constituents”, he stressed.
He said he also completed a police station at Bantama which was started by his predecessor Hon Daniel Okyem Aboagye.
”Somebody told me to tell my delegates to vote for me in the up – coming election but I told them that I’m not going to talk because my good works will speak for me.
Most people can attest to that fact that the kind of work I have done is unprecedented in this constituency. For that reason, all the people in the Constituency have been telling delegates is for them to be careful so that they don’t change Asenso Boakye. But the fact is, in every constituency when their MP is working, mostly people don’t want to contest them but in Bantama constituency we have had someone who is wanted to be the chairman is doing everything to remove be because he thinks Asenso Boakye did not support him”, Mr. Asenso-Boakye indicated.
Otumfuo Suaduhene, Nana Kwabena Bonsu Kanin III speaking at the event asked delegates of Bantama constituency to retain Hon Asenso-Boakye as their Member of Parliament.
The Ohwim Akusu Amanfrom Police Station will serve more than five communities in the Constituency.
