Melodies of Change: Africa Climate Band Resonates Hope and Climate Solutions at Debut Concert | General Entertainment

The Africa Climate Band-Concert Tour, a musical movement committed to combating global warming, made its electrifying debut at the +233 Jazz Bar & Grill in Ghana on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

This groundbreaking event marked the commencement of a musical journey across Africa and culminates in the grand “Big African Climate Solutions Concert” at COP28 in Dubai in December 2023.

Led by Innocent Antoine Houedji, the visionary head of the organization, The Africa Climate Band is not just a musical ensemble but a formidable force advocating for change.

The concert, held at +233 Jazz Bar & Grill, transcended traditional entertainment, serving as a declaration that Africa refuses to be a mere victim of climate change.

Instead, the continent is a dynamic source of innovative solutions, challenging preconceptions and asserting its leadership in the global fight against environmental crises.

In a pre-concert press conference, Innocent Antoine Houedji stated; “It’s much more than just a concert; it’s a declaration. We want to show the world that Africa is not content to suffer the consequences of global warming, but that it offers innovative solutions.”

The campaign’s solutions are in two fields: indigenous wisdom, featuring sustainable practices that Africa has always known, and “Plankton Power”, where the easily restored natural photosynthesis of the ocean quickly removes enough CO2 to achieve a safe climate.

The concert aimed to challenge prevailing narratives about Africa and demonstrate that the continent is actively contributing to a sustainable future.

The Africa Climate Band Concert Tour is set to continue its musical journey across Africa, featuring renowned musicians such as Beighy Starr (Togo), Sinton Glory (Benin), Lipstick Queen (Ghana), King Sobada (Ghana), Alex Carlin (USA), Les Wisemen (Cote d’Ivoire), Wilf Enigma (Benin) and many more.

The tour aims to educate and inspire governments, international institutions, the private sector, COP28 participants, negotiators, women, and youth about sustainable climate practices.

The Africa Climate Band Concert Tour will culminate in the “Big African Climate Solutions Concert” at COP28 in Dubai in December 2023.

The organization in collaboration with Youth Initiative for Land in Africa (YILAA), Alex Carlin, JVE, GRABE-BENIN, ODD TV, Global Land Alliance, and other partners, will leverage the power of music, press conferences and educational events to bring climate solutions to millions around the world.

About The Africa Climate Band

The Africa Climate Band is a musical movement committed to challenging the narrative surrounding Africa’s role in the fight against global warming.

Led by visionary Innocent Antoine Houedji, the organization promotes African-led climate solutions through music, education, and advocacy.

The campaign’s solutions are in two fields: indigenous wisdom, featuring sustainable practices that Africa has always known, and “Plankton Power”, where the easily restored natural photosynthesis of the ocean quickly removes enough CO2 to achieve a safe climate.

The Africa Climate Band aims to shift the narrative from “Africa as a Climate Victim” to “Africa as a Climate Leader,” emphasizing the continent’s readiness to offer innovative solutions and lead the way toward a sustainable future.
